Eastern Zone Swimming Camps

2015 Zone Select Camp Dates and Site
 Eastern Zone June 4-7, 2015 University of Maryland Baltimore County, Baltimore, MD

The Eastern Zone will host our 3rd ever Diversity Select Summit at the University of Maryland June 25-28th, 2015 in an effort to identify the emerging young diverse athletes from under-represented populations in the sport, LSC Chairs and Coaches from each LSC and offer them a unique motivational and educational experience. Participants from the various LSCs that comprise of the Eastern Zone would participate in a three-day program, which includes pool training, motivational, and education sessions and team-building activities.

 


USA Swimming Camps
National Select Camp:
Each fall, USA Swimming brings 60 of the top USA Swimming member athletes in the nation for a once-in-a-lifetime camp experience. Swimmers are selected from the SWIMS database of top times. During the camp, these swimmers will learn about post race recovery, drug and supplement rules, psychological training skills, nutrition, race strategy and more.

Open Water Select Camp
USA Swimming offers 24 of the country's best distance swimmers the opportunity for a unique motivational and educational experience. The National Open Water Camp is an integral step for athletes to move from the pool to Open Water and then to the international scene.

Diversity Select Camp
Each spring, USA Swimming invites 36 athletes from underrepresented populations to participate in a three-day camp program which includes pool training, motivational and education sessions and team-building activities. Selection is based on times swum at USA Swimming sanctioned events.
