High School features a six lane, 25-yard
pool with non-turbulent lane dividers.
The meet will be run using a Colorado timing system with a six-lane
scoreboard and infinity starting system. The results will be posted
continuously throughout the meet. Mezzanine seating is available for
approximately 350-400 people. |

ELIGIBILITY:
|
The
meet is open to all USA registered swimmers in age groups 10 & under,
11-12, 13-14, and Open. There are no time standards. Age is determined
as of November 1, 2003. No entrant will be permitted to compete unless
that entrant is a member of USA Swimming as provided in Article 302
of the USA Swimming Rules and Regulation. |

RULES:
|
Applicable
USA Swimming rules shall govern this competition. Maryland Swimming
rules shall also apply. USA SWIMMING / MD SWIMMING SAFETY GUIDELINES
AND WARM-UP PROCEDURES WILL BE IN EFFECT FOR THE ENTIRE MEET. No one
will be permitted on the pool deck unless they are registered with USA
Swimming as an athlete, or as a non-athlete working the meet. The only
exceptions will be for the timers and administrative staff assisting
with the conduct of the meet.
No-Recall Starting
Procedures: Starting procedures for this meet will be conducted in accordance
with USA Swimming Rules, Section 102.14.4H.
Swimmers who miss
their heat will not be substituted into a later heat. |

QUALIFYING
TIMES:
|
There
are no time standards for this meet. Entries with no times will be allowed. |
|
ENTRY
INFORMATION:
|
All
entries must be submitted on 3.5 floppy disks or submitted on the attached
swimmer entry form. If information is submitted on the form, it must
be complete and printed legibly. Swimmers may enter a maximum of four
(4) events per day. The meet director reserves the right to limit entries
to stay within the applicable time constraints of the meet. The 500
Free and the 400 I.M. will be limited to the fastest 12 swimmers in
each event unless time permits additional heats.
Deck seeds will only be accepted prior to fifteen minutes before the
scheduled start time and must be paid at the time of the deck seed. |

ENTRY DEADLINE:
|
All
entries must be received by the Meet Director by 5:00 p.m. on
October 24, 2003. Maryland LSC teams whose entries are received
by the entry deadline will have first priority.

ENTRY FEES:
|
The
fees for this meet will be $4.00 per individual event and $10.00 per
relay event. Entry fees must be mailed with the entries and checks should
be made payable to the Chesapeake Bay Aquatic Club. |

AWARDS:
|
Ribbons
will be awarded for first through eighth place for individual events
and first through third for relays. |

RESULTS:
|
Results
will be posted continuously throughout the meet. Additionally, results
will be available for downloading from the MD swimming web site at mdswim.org
48 hours after the conclusion of the meet. Teams entering the meet by
disk will be provided the results on disk at the conclusion of the meet.
Printed results will be mailed upon request only. |

An assortment of breakfast and lunch items will be available throughout
the meet. |

PROGRAMS:
|
Programs
will be on sale at the concession stand at the cost of $ 6.00 each. |

A
full line of swim apparel and accessories will be available for sale. |

DIRECTIONS:
|
From
Washington beltway, take Route 210 (Indian Head Highway) south almost
into the town of Indian Head. Make a left onto Route 225 south (Hawthorn
Drive) and follow it to Route 224 (Chicamuxen Road). Turn right onto
Route 224, and the high school is about one quarter mile on the left.
Alternate route: Take 301 south towards LaPlata. Turn right onto Route
225 and then left on Route 224.
From St. Mary's
County Rt. 235, turn left on Route 6 by Charlotte Hall library. Take
Route 6 to Route 301 in La Plata. Turn right on Route 301. Turn left
onto Route 225 at the next light by Wendy's. Follow Route 225 for approximately
9 miles. Turn left onto Route 224 (Chicamuxen Road). The high school
is about one quarter mile on the left. Alternate route: From Leonardtown,
take Rt. 234, right on 301, left on 225 and then follow directions above.
