The Arundel Olympic Swim Center is a 50 meter indoor facility. The competition pool is a twenty-five yard, eight lane pool, 6 to 13 feet in depth with non-turbulent lane dividers. Colorado automatic timing system, scoreboard, horn/strobe start. Lanes will be available during the meet for warm-up and swim down when appropriate supervision is provided by the swimmer’s coach/club.

The safety director for this meet will be Chuck Burghardt.

The meet referee for this meet will be Randy Morris.

The computer specialist will be Linda Davis.

The meet is open to all USA Swimming registered swimmers in age groups 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, & Open with times slower than 2004 All Star Meet Qualifying Times and faster than 2004 "B" time standards. Age is determined as of March 12, 2004. Note: a 10-yr old may swim in the 11 age group if his birthday falls between the CBAC Jr. All-Star Meet and the MD Swimming All-Star Meet (March 18-21, 2004). No entrant will be permitted to compete unless that entrant is a member of USA Swimming as provided in Article 302 of the USA Swimming Rules and Regulation.

Note: Newly achieved qualifying times for the Maryland LSC All-Star Championship Meet, made at the CBAC Jr All-Star Meet, must be sent to Maryland LSC Championship Meet Director no later than 12:00 midnight on Sunday March 14, 2004. The entry should be sent by email to coachtom@comcast.net and must be received by 12:00 midnight....no exceptions! The entries must be sent by a coach. The additional fees will be hand delivered to the meet director on the first day of the Maryland LSC Swimming Championships.

Applicable USA Swimming rules shall govern this competition. Maryland Swimming rules shall also apply. USA SWIMMING / MD SWIMMING SAFETY GUIDELINES AND WARM-UP PROCEDURES WILL BE IN EFFECT FOR THE ENTIRE MEET. No one will be permitted on the pool deck unless they are registered with USA Swimming as an athlete, or as a non-athlete working the meet.

No-Recall Starting Procedures: Starting procedures for this meet will be conducted in accordance with USA Swimming Rules, Section 102.14.4H. Fly-over start procedures will be followed.

Slower than 2004 All Star Meet Qualifying Times and faster than 2004 "B" time standards. No time entries are not acceptable.

All entries must be submitted on 3.5 floppy disks (preferred) or submitted on the attached swimmer entry form. If information is submitted on the form, it must be complete and printed legibly. Meet entries may be submitted by E-Mail (Team Manager files only). However, all team payments must be received prior to the start of the first session. Swimmers may enter a maximum of four (4) events per day.

The meet director reserves the right to limit entries to stay within the applicable time constraints of the meet. The 500 Free and the 400 I.M. will be limited to the fastest 16 swimmers in each event unless time permits additional heats.

Deck seeds will only be accepted prior to fifteen minutes before the scheduled session start time and must be paid at the time of the deck seed. Deck seeded entrants must be registered with USA swimming prior to the meet entry deadline.

All entries must be received by the Meet Director by 5:00 p.m. on February 27, 2004. Maryland LSC teams whose entries are received by the entry deadline will have first priority.

The fees for this meet will be $4.50 per individual event. Entry fees must be mailed with the entries. Deck-seeded events will be $5.50 per individual event and must be paid at the time entries are added. Checks should be made payable to the Chesapeake Bay Aquatic Club.

Ribbons will be awarded for first through eighth place for individual events.

Results will be posted continuously throughout the meet. Additionally, results will be available for downloading from the MD swimming web site at www.mdswim.org 48 hours after the conclusion of the meet and from www.cbacswimming.org. Teams entering the meet by disk will be provided the results on disk at the conclusion of the meet. Printed results will be mailed upon request only.

Programs will be on sale at the concession stand at the cost of $8.00 each.

From Virginia and South -- Take 495 (Washington Beltway) to Route 50 East. Go East approximately 20 miles to Route 665 (Aris T. Allen Blvd.). Stay to the right and turn right onto Riva Road. Go approximately 1 1/2 miles to the Arundel Olympic Swim Center on the right (also entrance to Annapolis High School). Pool is on the right.

Alternate Directions: Take MD-4 North. Turn right on MD-2. Merge onto MD-665/Aris T Allen Blvd West. Immediately take Riva Rd. exit. Keep left at the fork in the ramp. Go approximately 1 1/2 miles to the Arundel Olympic Swim Center on the right (also entrance to Annapolis High School). Pool is on the right.

From New York and North -- Take Route 95 to the Harbor Tunnel. After exiting the tunnel, go approximately 5 miles to Route 97. Take Route 97 south toward Annapolis (approximately 20 miles). Continue on Route 97 to Route 665 (Aris T. Allen Blvd.). Follow directions above from Route 665 above.
