The Great Mills facility features an outdoor, six lane, 25 yard x 25 meter pool covered with a heated, air-inflated “bubble”. The facility’s bathhouse includes showers, lockers, and restrooms. Limited deck seating will be available. The meet will be run by a Colorado Timing System with horn and scoreboard. The results will be posted continuously throughout the meet.

The safety director for this meet will be Chuck Burghardt.

The meet referee for this meet will be Randy Morris.

The meet is open to all USA Swimming registered swimmers in age groups 9 & under, 10 & 11, 12 & 13, and 14 & older. There are no time standards for this meet, "No time" entries will be permitted. Age is determined as of January 23, 2004. No entrant will be permitted to compete unless that entrant is a member of USA Swimming as provided in Article 302 of the USA Swimming Rules and Regulation.

Applicable USA Swimming rules shall govern this competition. Maryland Swimming rules shall also apply. USA SWIMMING / MD SWIMMING SAFETY GUIDELINES AND WARM-UP PROCEDURES WILL BE IN EFFECT FOR THE ENTIRE MEET. No one will be permitted on the pool deck unless they are registered with USA Swimming as an athlete, or as a non-athlete working the meet.

No-Recall Starting Procedures: Starting procedures for this meet will be conducted in accordance with USA Swimming Rules, Section 102.14.4H.

There are no time standards for this meet. Swimmers with no times will be allowed to swim in the events.

All entries must be submitted on 3.5 floppy disks or submitted on the attached swimmer entry form. If information is submitted on the form, it must be complete and printed legibly. Swimmers may enter a maximum of four (4) events per day. The meet director reserves the right to limit entries to stay within the applicable time constraints of the meet. The 500 Free and the 400 I.M. will be limited to the fastest 12 swimmers in each event unless time permits additional heats. Deck seeds will only be accepted prior to fifteen minutes before the scheduled session start time and must be paid at the time of the deck seed.

All entries must be received by the Meet Director by 5:00 p.m. on January 11, 2004. Maryland LSC teams whose entries are received by the entry deadline will have first priority.

The fees for this meet will be $4.00 per individual event and $10.00 per relay event. Entry fees must be mailed with the entries and checks should be made payable to the Chesapeake Bay Aquatic Club.

Ribbons will be awarded for first through eighth place for individual events and first through third for relays.

Results will be posted continuously throughout the meet. Additionally, results will be available for downloading from the MD swimming web site at www.mdswim.org 48 hours after the conclusion of the meet. Teams entering the meet by disk will be provided the results on disk at the conclusion of the meet. Printed results will be mailed upon request only.

Programs will be on sale at the concession stand at the cost of $6.00 each.

From the Washington Beltway, take MD-5 south to Waldorf. Turn left/south to stay on MD-5 in Waldorf. MD-5 becomes MD-235 (Three Notch Rd). Turn right onto MD-237/ Chancellors Run Rd (approximately 30 miles from Waldorf). Go approximately 3 miles to the end of MD-237 and turn right on to Great Mills Rd (MD-246). Turn left at 1st light into the high school parking lot. Parking is to the right -- follow signs to pool which is on the right side of the high school. The pool is covered by a large white bubble.

You may also take Rt. 4 south from the Washington Beltway to Solomon's Island. Cross the bridge and proceed to the intersection of Rt. 4 and Rt. 235. Make a left on Rt. 235 south to Lexington Park and follow the highlighted directions to the pool.

From Baltimore take Rt. 301 south to Rt. 4 in Upper Marlboro. Take Rt. 4 south to Solomon's Island and follow the highlighted directions above.

From Annapolis take Rt. 2/4 south to the intersection in Sunderland. Turn left/south to Solomon's Island and follow the highlighted directions to the pool.
