The Fairland Sports and Aquatics Complex features a 50-meter pool with bulkhead. Competition will use eight 25-yard lanes with non-turbulent lane lines.

The meet is open to all USA Swimming registered swimmers in age groups 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, & Open with times slower than 2005 All Star Meet Qualifying Times and faster than 2005 "B" time standards. Age is determined as of March 11, 2005. Note: a 10-yr old may swim in the 11 age group if his birthday falls between the CBAC Jr. All-Star Meet and the MD Swimming All-Star Meet (March 17-20, 2005).

No entrant will be permitted to compete unless that entrant is a member of USA Swimming as provided in Article 302 of the USA Swimming Rules and Regulation. Clubs who enter swimmers who are not registered by February 3rd will be fined $100.00 and the swimmers will not be allowed to compete in accordance to Maryland Swimming rules.

Note: Newly achieved qualifying times for the Maryland LSC All-Star Championship Meet, made at the CBAC Jr All-Star Meet, must be sent to Maryland LSC Championship Meet Director no later than 12:00 midnight on Sunday March 13, 2005. The entry should be sent by email to coachtom@comcast.net and must be received by 12:00 midnight....no exceptions! The entries must be sent by a coach. The additional fees will be hand delivered to the meet director on the first day of the Maryland LSC Swimming Championships.

Applicable USA Swimming rules shall govern this competition. Maryland Swimming rules shall also apply. USA SWIMMING / MD SWIMMING SAFETY GUIDELINES AND WARM-UP PROCEDURES WILL BE IN EFFECT FOR THE ENTIRE MEET.

No one will be permitted in the competition area of the pool deck unless they are registered with USA Swimming as an athlete, or as a non-athlete working the meet. The only exceptions will be for timers and administrative staff assisting with the conduct of the meet. Coaches will be required to display their credentials while on deck.

Slower than 2005 All Star Meet Qualifying Times and faster than 2005 "B" time standards. No time entries are not acceptable.

All entries must be submitted on 3.5 floppy disks or submitted on the attached swimmer entry form. If information is submitted on the form, it must be complete and printed legibly. Meet entries may be submitted by E-Mail (Team Manager files only). However, all team payments must be received prior to the start of the first session. Swimmers may enter a maximum of four (4) events per day.

The meet director reserves the right to limit entries to stay within the applicable time constraints of the meet. The 500 Free and the 400 I.M. will be limited to the fastest 16 swimmers in each event unless time permits additional heats.

Deck seeds will be accepted on a first come first served basis for open lanes only

Deck seeds will be accepted on a first come first served basis for open lanes only. They must be added prior to the fifteen minutes before the scheduled session start time and must be paid at the time of the deck seed. Deck seeded entrants must be registered with USA swimming prior to the meet entry deadline (March 5th, 2005). NOTE: The swimmer/coach must show proof of USS registration by showing the swimmer's current 2005 registration card if the swimmer was not previously entered in the meet.

All entries must be received by the Meet Director by 5:00 p.m. on March 5, 2005. Maryland LSC teams whose entries are received by the entry deadline will have first priority.

Note: Entries may be emailed but payment must be made by the start of the meet.

The fees for this meet will be $5.00 per individual event. Entry fees must be mailed with the entries. Deck-seeded events will be $4.50 per individual event and must be paid at the time entries are added. Checks should be made payable to the Chesapeake Bay Aquatic Club or CBAC.

Ribbons will be awarded for first through eighth place for individual events.

Results will be posted continuously throughout the meet. Additionally, results will be available for downloading from the MD swimming web site at www.mdswim.org 48 hours after the conclusion of the meet and from www.cbacswimming.org. Teams entering the meet by disk will be provided the results on disk at the conclusion of the meet. Printed results will be mailed upon request only.

Programs will be on sale at the concession stand at the cost of $8.00 each.

The complex is located in Laurel, Maryland, on Old Gunpowder Road between Powder Mill Road and Route 198.

From the Capital Beltway (I-495), take 95 North toward Baltimore. Take Exit 28B (Beltsville-Route 212). At the first light, make a left onto Old Gunpowder Road. Go approximately 2.5 miles to the complex on the left.
